CUNA Mutual Group (CMG) is one of those distinctly Madison companies.  It was born here, grew up here, and is woven tightly into the fabric of Madison as a top employer.  Did you know that more Madisonians work at CUNA Mutual than at Oscar Mayer?

However, CUNA Mutual Group has laid off  407 union employees since 2005. Most of these lay-offs are because CMG is outsourcing Madison jobs to Iowa, Texas, and India. Recently, CUNA Mutual Group moved their domicile to Iowa.

We want to secure jobs in Wisconsin and particularly at CUNA Mutual Group.  We see more lay-offs coming.  We wonder if there will be a job at CUNA Mutual for our children or grandchildren.  Why are so many employees at CUNA Mutual losing their jobs? Why is CUNA Mutual bringing in so many foreign employees to do our jobs?  What kind of impact will there be on  Dane County due to additional jobs lost at CUNA Mutual? The lay-offs of 407 employees will result in an expected loss of 16.8 million dollars for Dane County.  It's time for CUNA Mutual Group to stop the lay-offs.
